The A&O House parking lot

Bring your lawn chairs, neighbors and friends and get ready to have a fun evening with the entire First Pres Church Family!

We will have food trucks from Purple Flamingo, Sweet Sipz, and 575 Pizza for you to purchase snacks and food.

There will be games to play, Kanakuk Inflatables to play on, music to lift your spirits, and great fellowship with your Church Family.

So make plans now to join us in the A&O House parking lot for this extra-special night.

This year’s All Church Retreat at Sky Ranch at Horn Creek was the biggest we’ve ever had!  A total of 148 people made the trek to the camp at the base of the Sangre de Cristo mountains for a weekend of refreshment, fellowship, worship, and fun.  This was by far the most truly intergenerational All Church Retreat that First Pres has had, with folks ranging in age from 3 to 86! What a special group!

The messages from John Ortberg were so profound as well as applicable to each person’s life on many levels. Even the elementary children were touched by his talks, and it was so good to have our young people stay in the worship center with everyone during the messages.  The praise music was led by Steve and Ruth Ann Godsey, who made it such special time of experiencing the Holy Spirit among us.

Everyone in the group had a great time keeping an eye out for Eddie the Yeti so we could help protect him from Gunter the Hunter who wanted to capture poor Eddie and put him in a cage so Gunter could open the Walsenberg Yeti City Amusement Park.

We had lots of helping protecting Eddie the Yeti with four "local agencies". Each of these “helpers” tried diligently to rally their teams to come together to win points in order to help protect Eddie the Yeti and his family.  Team members from young to old had a great time competing for points. Including learning and performing the “Yeti Dance”!  The helpful agencies were:

Sunday morning worship was capped with everyone sharing the Communion Feast together. What a perfect ending to a wonderful weekend of drawing closer to God as a community.  Thank you, Lord for a wonderful weekend of worshipping, sharing, laughter and deepening of friendships!

We are already planning the All Church Retreat for 2023!  So mark your calendars for May 5 -7, 2023 so you can join us for a weekend that will refresh and renew you.
