Kent graduated from West Texas State University with a degree in Marketing. He and his awesome wife, Jocie (Prov 18:22), have two sons - Emilio and Joe Justin, who both live in Amarillo. Kent spent 32 years working for Ecolab Pest Elimination, all of which was spent working from Amarillo. He is an Associate Certified Entomologist and has multiple years of management experience leading a remote workforce. Kent has been a member of First Pres since 2012 and has served on multiple committees. Most recently, he served as Moderator of Personnel. Kent enjoys working at First Pres and hopes to serve alongside many through mission trips, Men’s groups, Bible studies, and Sunday School.

Kent feels that it is important to preserve heritage, value our older members, and press into God to complete what He wants us to be doing. (I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:6) Kent believes God has called this church to impact the world for Christ, to bring the lost to Christ and make disciples who in turn will bring the lost to Christ and make disciples. He is excited to be a part of this work at First Pres. And encourages everyone to serve Christ by looking for a need He presents and meeting it. He who is faithful in very little is also faithful in much (Luke 16:10).
