HOLY WEEK 2026
Make plans to join us here at First Presbyterian Church, Amarillo this Holy Week for one of our many moving worship services. Our Maundy Thursday service is a combined worship service with Polk Street Methodist and Central Church of Christ at 7:00 p.m. in our sanctuary. Our Good Friday worship service is a moving Tenebrae service (service of diminishing lights) led by our choir at 8:00 p.m. in our sanctuary as we remember all that Jesus did for us on the cross. Easter Sunday we will have a traditional worship service in our sanctuary at both 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. with a contemporary service downstairs in our Fellowship Center at 11:05 a.m. It is a great opportunity to celebrate that CHRIST IS RISEN! HE IS RISEN INDEED!

About First Presbyterian Church
We'd love to help you plan a visit, meet our Senior Pastor, and get to know what we're about!
We are so excited that you have visited our website and hope to see you at First Pres soon! We are a body of believers who seek to discover and live the way of Christ in the expansive grace of God. We believe that Jesus Christ alone is Lord, and we are called to share His love with others through both word and deed. As Presbyterians, we affirm the FIVE SOLAS of the Protestant Reformation: Grace Alone, Faith Alone, Christ Alone, Scripture Alone, and Glory to God Alone.

MAKING OUR WAY TO JERUSALEM
MAKING OUR WAY TO JERUSALEM – In Luke 9:51 we read that Jesus “set his face to go to Jerusalem.” Luke then uses 10 chapters to describe Jesus’ journey to Jerusalem. Join us during this season of Lent as we travel with Jesus to Jerusalem. Jesus experienced life transforming encounters with some men and women on His way to Jerusalem. The ripple effects from these encounters transformed lives then and will continue to transform our lives today as we listen in and learn what it means to follow Jesus every day.
