Serve

We Serve because He First Served Us

We believe every church is called to have a global impact.  We are connected to many different mission organizations.   The common link is that they are all evangelical and focus on sharing the love of Christ by sharing His Word and by serving the needs of those they are called to be with.  We support over 70 missionaries locally and globally.  We support them financially, but more importantly every 4 months we ask them to share 3 ways we can specifically pray for them  ---- because we know the most we can do is pray!

Murray's House

Sunday Supper

Opportunities during the Week

We meet every Sunday to have dinner, worship, and have a short Bible lesson. You're invited to join us!
CONTACT ORLANDO FOR MORE INFO AT 806-220-4334.
We have many different opportunities for service throughout the week to serve at Murray's House. We tutor, help Spanish speakers learn English, support those who are working towards their GED, encourage young moms, and provide a safe place to hang out after school.

Saturday of Service

Each semester, we come together as a church and go out to our city to help wherever we can. We might work at the Square Mile farm, help the High Plains Food Bank, work on a Habitat for Humanity build, or sort clothes for Downtown Women's Center. We also always have projects at the church for those who aren't as mobile but still want to help, and we always end the day with a cook out at Murray's House.

4Amarillo Summer Fun Week

Every year at the end of June, First Pres, along with First Baptist, Central Church of Christ, and Polk Street Methodist, serve our friends in the San Jacinto and Margaret Wills areas by providing a family VBS. We have dinner, games, Bible stories, and more. It's one of our most favorite weeks out of the year!
